June, 2020 Announcement

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Infection Prevention & Control Policy

Our priority is to keep you and our consultants as safe as possible, and we have implemented a number of changes which we would like to make you aware of. During lockdown in early 2021, we all completed the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Infection Prevention and Control course which is accredited by the Guild of Professional Beauty Therapists Ltd, the UK trade body for our industry. We have since made a number of changes in the way that we operate that you will notice when you next visit. We have also taken the opportunity to innovate and take our styling services into the virtual space if preferred.

If any of our consultants or their household feel ill or have symptoms of COVlD-19, they will self-isolate immediately and not attend their studio. This may mean that they have to cancel your appointment at short notice. We appreciate that this may be inconvenient, but it is done entirely for your own safety. If your appointment is postponed you will be able to re-book.

If you or any of the people you live with feel ill or display any symptoms of COVlD-19 – please advise us as soon as possible and DO NOT COME TO THE STUDIO FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT. We have amended our booking terms and conditions and you will not be charged for any appointments which you miss due to illness.

We have increased the frequency of cleaning in the studios including making sure that common surfaces, toilets door handles etc. are wiped clean using disinfectant products between each client. All tools and equipment will be disinfected or sterilised in line with the specific manufacturers’ instructions for your safety. Wherever possible we will utilise environmentally friendly, single use items to apply make-up and these will be disposed of safely after use.

You will have access to hand sanitiser to clean your hands with as soon as you enter the studio

We can confirm that the laundering of towels, capes and gowns is a priority and will take place after every client leaves.

All disposable items are bagged and safely removed from the colour analysis area as soon as a client leaves.

We are once again able to offer refreshments during your visit to the studio. However, if you prefer to bring your own drink with you that is fine.

We have carried out a risk assessment on colour analysis sessions and we are confident that we can continue to provide these safely.

You may wish to attend wearing a mask, but you need to understand that this will need to be removed whilst your colour analysis is undertaken. If you are not

comfortable with this, you should not attend the session as colour analysis cannot be done whilst you are wearing a mask.

The consultant may wear a visor and/or a mask whilst doing your colour analysis

These actions are in line with current government advice.

We understand the importance of hand hygiene and we will ensure that consultants wash or sterlise their hands in accordance with NHS recommendations before the start of your session and before choosing make-up for you and we will be asking you to do the same.

We will try to make your session as safe, comfortable and enjoyable as possible. If you have any concerns about your colour analysis please let us know and we will do what we can to satisfy you.

In order to avoid handling of cash, we would prefer if you could pay for your session in advance using bank transfer or other agreed payment method on the day, many of our consultants have card payment machines should you wish to purchase any make-up, for example.

All of these procedures have been implemented for your safety and that of our consultants. We will continue to take advice from the Government and the NHS regarding safe practice and will amend them as necessary.

Thank you for your understanding.
